Abstract
The use of Zinc fertilizer is an essential to make sure of maximum production and its concentration in the grain. Keeping in view the six levels of ZnSO4 such as T1 no application of Zn (untreated), T2 Zn @ 7.5 (25% < recommended), T3 Zn @ 5.0 (50% < recommended), T4 Zn @ 10.0 (recommended), T5 Zn @ 12.5 (25%> recommended) and T6 Zn @ 15.0 (50%> recommended) kg ha-1were tested on the variety Dadu Maize-1. The data depicted that all the yield contributing parameters and kernel yield were recorded at maximum level under the application of T6 zinc @ 15.0 kg ha-1 (50%> recommended) followed by T5 zinc application @ 12.5 kg ha-1 (25%> recommended). Nevertheless, the lowest values were noted regarding the yield and yield components under T1 (no zinc application). Hence, the application of T6 zinc @ 15.0 kg ha-1 (50%> recommended) proved suitable zinc level for achieving optimal kernel yield of variety Dadu Maize-1.
